Noise Reduction in Audacity:

  • Select a section of pure ambient noise (1-3 seconds).
  • Go to Effects > Noise Reduction > Get Noise Profile.
  • Select a section with desired audio (3 seconds).
  • Go to Effects > Noise Reduction and adjust the reduction level (preview to find the best setting).
  • Apply the noise reduction to the entire audio track (Ctrl+A).
  • Repeat the process for other unwanted noises, selecting their specific noise profiles.
Importing the Fixed Audio Back into Shotcut:
  • Export the cleaned audio from Audacity.
  • In Shotcut, add the cleaned audio track (Ctrl+U).
